He continues to distinguish himself as a leader in this genre with an appreciation toward pure musicianship and vocal talent. He leads his seven-piece band in perfect pitch with timeless, gospel-inspired bluegrass music. As a former member of The Country Gentlemen with Charlie Waller, Doyle Lawson is recognized with 14 IBMA Awards and a 2006 Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
