The DelFest Bluegrass Band Competition takes place each year during the festival in Cumberland, MD. The submission period is now over – thanks to everyone who participated! Eight finalists will be selected to attend DelFest by Friday, March 23rd. These eight bands will perform short sets on the Potomac Stage on Friday and Saturday of DelFest. A small group of judges will rate them on originality of material, musicianship, vocal performance, stage presence and audience response. The winner will receive a short slot on the Grandstand Stage on Sunday, May 27th, a cash prize, and will be offered an exposure slot at the 2013 DelFest.
