To our DelFest community:
With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that we are carefully monitoring this situation at DelFest. As news of COVID-19 escalates quickly across the U.S. and around the world, DelFest continues to consult with government and health officials regarding the status of our 2020 festival.
Currently we are working under the assumption that we will be able to hold DelFest as planned. We will be taking a proactive approach to ensure our environments are clean, safe and that your health and well-being is a top priority. We have already ordered additional hand wash and sanitation stations, and will continue to implement additional safety features we deem helpful.
We are aware of widespread venue and event cancellations, as well as updated recommended precautions for high-risk populations and new travel restrictions that could impact our artists and patrons.
In light of that, we want to activate the DelFest family!
This community has the biggest hearts, and musicians need your love and positivity more than ever. Because of tour postponements and cancellations, many artists are experiencing unexpected financial hardship. One way we can lift them up is to buy merch and share their music. We’ll be posting links for artists’ stores in the coming weeks, so you can directly support the folks who make our world go round.
We will issue further statements as soon as possible with more information for patrons. Thank you for your patience as our dedicated staff and board work through our plans.
We are committed to:
1. Loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors
2. We are not being fearful, but we will be responsible
3. This is what love requires of us in this season
4. Delbows rule
With big love and clean hands,
The DelFest Team
